About the role

Aviation Recruitment experts Optime Group are looking for Passenger Service Assistant's to join a well-respected and successful client at Bristol Airport.

Working as a member of the Passenger Assistance Team, you will be responsible for delivering customer service excellence to every passenger requiring support, passengers with hidden disabilities or those requiring assistance due to mobility restrictions.

Please note: As this is an airport role, successful candidates must pass security checks in-line with CAA regulations. These checks include 5-year work and address history, DBS (must have no disqualifying criminal convictions), valid Right to Work.


What's on offer:

  • Rate of Pay: £12.71 per hour
  • You must pick up a minimum of 4 shifts per week. (Shift timing examples below)

Start Dates:

Shift Patterns:

Below are the shifts that will be available on the App, you must be able to work a minimum for 4 shifts per week (1 shift being a weekend shift) and able to work AM shifts.

This is not a full-time role!

  • 0300am-0900am
  • 0400am-0900am
  • 0400am-1000am
  • 1100am-1700pm

This role will require you to be flexible across all hours of work!

Key Duties:

  • Escorting arriving and departing special assistance passengers (along with accompanying family as necessary) through the airport either on foot, by wheelchair or electric buggy/caddy as depicted by their categorisation.
  • Being professional, polite and courteous always.
  • Helping with the passenger luggage.
  • Completing the Daily Equipment Check Sheet, to maintain the operational reliability of the equipment, reporting where necessary, any equipment defects in line with the equipment inspection procedure.
  • Ensuring that wheelchairs and buggies are always clean and tidy.
  • Ensure that Centralised Control is updated on progress by use of IT handsets.
  • Ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed legibly and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Any additional reasonable duties, as assigned by operational management.


Requirements:

  • Great work ethic.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong Customer Service.
  • Self-motivated and willing to work using own initiative.
  • Full UK Driving license (desirable).
  • To multitask and remain calm under pressure.
  • Previous airport experience is an advantage but not essential.
  • Successful candidates will be required to complete a basic DBS record check following interview in line with CAA requirements.
