What You'll Be Doing:

Championing the strategic delivery of SEND provision as SENDCO
Coordinating EHCPs, pupil reviews, and multi-agency meetings
Leading and developing the SEN support team and teaching staff
Building relationships with parents, carers, and external professionals
Monitoring pupil progress and driving whole-school inclusion
Updating policies and introducing evidence-led SEN interventions
Delivering bespoke training sessions and INSET workshops on SEN practice

Ideal "SENDCO" for this Islington School:

Thorough knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice
UK-trained teacher or experienced SENDCO with relevant qualification (NASENCO preferred)
QTS and strong, recent classroom background
Track record of strong SEN outcomes and impactful leadership
High level of emotional intelligence and empathy
Confident communicator, proactive, and ready to inspire a team
