Approved Electrician

We’re looking for qualified Electricians to join an industrial project in Royston.
This is a long-term contract starting as soon as possible, working on a large-scale installation with substantial overtime opportunities and accommodation provided. Ideal for electricians with JIB status who are seeking consistent work and excellent earnings.
Salary:

JIB PAYE rates plus £2.37 per hour bonus
Graded Electrician:

Basic: £22.28 per hour (including holiday pay)
Overtime 1.5: £32.85 per hour
Overtime 2: £43.80 per hour


Approved Electrician:

Basic: £24.17 per hour (including holiday pay)
Overtime 1.5: £35.62 per hour
Overtime 2: £47.50 per hour



 
Location and Working Pattern:
Location: Royston
Start: ASAP
Duration: 9 months (until February 2027)
Hours: 11-day fortnight

Monday to following Wednesday: 06:45 – 17:45 (10 days)
Second Thursday: 06:45 – 13:15 (travel day)

 
Client Overview:
Our client operates in the engineering and industrial sector, delivering major electrical installations on complex projects nationwide
 
Responsibilities:

Install and maintain industrial electrical systems
Fit and secure cable racks and trays
Terminate and route steel wire armoured and instrument cables
Work with hazardous area equipment where required
Maintain compliance with safety standards and site procedures
Collaborate effectively with site teams to meet project deadlines

 
Must-have Requirements:

Valid JIB card (essential)
Previous industrial installation experience
Strong understanding of cable management and electrical terminations

 
Nice-to-have Skills:

Experience with hazardous area installations
Knowledge of instrumentation cabling practices
