Risk & Opportunity ManagerAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Risk & Opportunity Manager based in Birmingham. You’ll lead risk and opportunity management on a major national infrastructure programme. This role is ideal for a construction or risk management professional who enjoys solving complex challenges and influencing key decisions.
Responsibilities
Lead the management of the project risk register, facilitating workshops to identify and prioritise risks.
Forecast and analyse the impact of risks on cost and schedule, including quantification and contingency planning.
Recommend approaches for risk quantification and define contingency levels.
Implement effective strategies for mitigating identified risks.
Deliver data analysis and visualisation to support key decision-making.
Provide expert guidance on risk management methodologies and best practice.
Ensure timely updates and accurate reporting of risk information.
Collect and analyse data for decision-making purposes.
Must-have Requirements
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a commercial, construction or risk management role on infrastructure projects above £100m.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to simplify complex problems.
Expertise in risk management software (Riskonnect ARM), risk quantification and forecasting.
Relevant qualifications (e.g. QS, PQS, project management, construction, or risk management).
IRM, PMI, APM or CIOB risk qualifications preferred.
Excellent analytical and communication skills.
Experience in working within collaborative partnerships.
