About the role

Job Title: Project Manager
Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly experienced Detailed Design Project Manager with a strong track record delivering major oil & gas projects in the Middle East, specifically within a Saudi Aramco environment.This role requires a commercially astute and technically competent leader capable of managing large-scale, complex EPC projects, ensuring full compliance with Aramco standards while delivering safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities

Lead full EPC project lifecycle delivery (Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning) for large-scale energy projects
Act as the primary point of contact with Saudi Aramco, ensuring alignment with all standards, procedures, and approval processes
Drive execution of projects in line with Aramco project delivery systems, gate processes, and quality requirements
Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams, contractors, and vendors across multiple locations
Develop, manage, and control project schedules (Primavera P6), budgets, and resource plans
Ensure robust contract management, including EPC contracts, subcontractor oversight, and claims management
Lead procurement strategies, supplier selection, and expediting for critical equipment and materials
Oversee construction execution in the field, ensuring alignment with engineering deliverables and HSE standards
Champion HSE performance, ensuring strict adherence to Middle Eastern regulatory and Aramco safety requirements
Monitor progress, risks, and performance metrics, implementing mitigation and recovery plans where required
Deliver regular reporting to senior stakeholders, including earned value, cost forecasting, and schedule performance
Support pre-award activities, including tendering, bid evaluation, and project planning for EPC scopes

 
Required Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related discipline)
Extensive EPC project management experience (10–15 years) within oil & gas / energy sector
Demonstrated delivery of major EPC projects in the Middle East (KSA experience highly preferred)
Mandatory: Proven experience working on Saudi Aramco projects (direct or contractor side)
Strong understanding of Aramco engineering standards, specifications (SAES, SADP), and project procedures
Proven experience managing brownfield and/or greenfield developments
Track record of delivering projects valued at $100M
Strong commercial experience, including cost control, contract administration, and claims management

 
Key Skills & Competencies

Deep expertise in EPC execution strategy and project delivery models
Strong leadership skills with experience managing large, multicultural teams in the Middle East
Advanced planning and scheduling skills (Primavera P6 essential)
Expertise in risk management, HAZID/HAZOP processes, and project controls
Excellent stakeholder management, particularly within Aramco and JV environments
Strong understanding of construction practices, site execution, and commissioning processes
Ability to operate effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced project environments

 
Desirable

PMP or equivalent certification
Previous experience working in Saudi Arabia or GCC region
Experience with mega-projects, upstream, downstream, or gas processing facilities
Familiarity with digital project control systems and reporting tools
