Interface Engineer
Summary
We’re working with a global leader in engineering solutions to recruit an Interface Engineer for a high-profile nuclear programme based in London, offering a hybrid working arrangement. This role is ideal for experienced interface management professionals with a background in large-scale infrastructure, engineering, or energy projects. You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring alignment across major programmes, supporting safe and timely delivery on a project that contributes to UK energy security and Net Zero goals.
Salary 
£47,000 with additional benefits (detailed below).
Location and Working Pattern
London (Hybrid working available).

Responsibilities

Implement and maintain the Interface Management Plan.
Manage interface tools including the Delivery Interface Register (DIR) and Milestone Definition Documents (MDDs).
Define, track, and coordinate interfaces between major programmes and stakeholders.
Monitor progress, risks, issues, and dependencies related to interfaces.
Ensure requirements are integrated into project schedules and change control processes.
Facilitate issue resolution and closure to maintain continuity and minimise risk.
Produce performance reports and provide assurance to senior leadership teams.
Support effective stakeholder engagement and promote a collaborative project approach.
Drive compliance with nuclear safety and regulatory standards.

 
Must-have Requirements

Proven experience in interface management on large infrastructure, engineering, construction, or energy projects.
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
Knowledge of project management, scheduling, risk management, and change control.
Ability to explain complex technical and commercial issues clearly.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Degree in Nuclear, Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, or a related Engineering discipline.

 
Nice-to-have Skills

Experience within the nuclear sector or on live construction sites.
