Monday to Friday (8:00am – 5:00pm) | 1 in 3 Saturdays (8:30am – 12:30pm)

Our client, a busy and well-established main dealership based in Chelmsford, is looking to recruit an experienced Vehicle Technician to join their growing workshop team.

Due to continued expansion, the workshop is increasing from 11 Technicians to 15, making this an excellent opportunity to join a successful dealership with a strong workshop culture, excellent earning potential and genuine long-term career prospects.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs to the highest standards.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults efficiently.
• Complete vehicle health checks and identify any additional work required.
• Work closely with Workshop Control and the Service Department to ensure an efficient workflow.
• Adhere to manufacturer procedures and workshop standards.
• Ensure all work is completed accurately and within agreed timescales.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Deliver a high standard of workmanship and customer satisfaction at all times.

Your Background & Skills

• Level 3 IMI/NVQ qualification (or equivalent) is essential.
• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician within the motor trade.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills are advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in your workmanship.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy workshop environment.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
