Waterjet Operator
£32,000–£34,000 | Permanent
Rotating Shifts: 06:00–14:00 / 14:00–22:00
A global engineering manufacturer operating within the live events and specialist structures sector is looking for a Waterjet Operator to join its production team.
The site produces intricate mechanical structures and assemblies for large-scale installations and touring projects. This role forms part of the machining function, focused on accurately cutting and preparing components using waterjet equipment.
The Role
- Operating waterjet cutting machinery to produce components that meet specification
- Setting up jobs according to drawings, work instructions and material requirements
- Safely loading and unloading materials
- Checking finished components to confirm accuracy and quality standards are met
- Performing basic machine maintenance and general housekeeping
- Liaising closely with production and engineering teams to maintain workflow
- Adhering to health and safety procedures at all times
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience operating waterjet machinery or similar CNC/profile cutting equipment
- Ability to interpret and work from engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Comfortable working within a manufacturing or engineering setting
- Basic IT skills for logging and tracking jobs
- Experience working with metals or engineered materials is advantageous
