HGV / Military Vehicle Assembler

A globally recognised defence manufacturer with over a century of technical heritage is looking for Military Vehicle Assemblers to join a modern Engineering Centre of Excellence in the North West. You’ll play a direct part in assembling specialist military and heavy vehicles supplied to defence customers around the world.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Assembling specialist military and heavy vehicles to structured build processes and engineering documentation
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and work instructions
• Maintaining high standards of quality and safety in a disciplined, safety-critical environment
• Bringing a professional, methodical approach and contributing to continuous improvement

What You’ll Need

• HGV Mechanic/Fitter qualification or a similar background
• Experience assembling complex vehicles — HGV, plant, rail, aerospace or automotive all considered
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• A recognised apprenticeship in Vehicle Maintenance or a relevant engineering discipline is desirable
• Military vehicle or defence equipment experience is beneficial but not essential
• GCSE Maths and English (Grade C/4 or above)
• A flexible approach to overtime and shift patterns when required
