Industrial Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Location: Gainesville, GA
Pay: $32–$40 per hour
Shift: 12-Hour Continental Night Shift (48 hours Week 1 / 36 hours Week 2)

With a strong reputation for quality, innovation and operational excellence, our client is investing in the continued growth of its maintenance team and is seeking an experienced Industrial Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician to support its manufacturing operation.

The Role:

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing a wide range of industrial production equipment and facility systems. This role combines electrical and mechanical maintenance with preventative maintenance, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and HVAC systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair automated manufacturing equipment to minimise downtime.
  • Conduct routine safety inspections and ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
  • Support the installation, commissioning, and startup of new machinery and production equipment.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
  • Assist with spare parts inventory management.
  • Support facility maintenance including lighting, HVAC, sprinkler systems, and general building maintenance.
  • Safely operate forklifts, clamp trucks, man-lifts and scissor lifts as required.
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards throughout maintenance and production areas.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, efficiency, and cost reduction.
  • Support training and mentoring of junior maintenance personnel when required.
What We're Looking For:
  • Degree, technical certification, or equivalent training in Industrial Maintenance, Electronics Technology, Mechatronics, or a related discipline, or a minimum of 3 years' relevant industrial maintenance experience.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with:
    • PLC-controlled equipment
    • Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
    • Pneumatic and hydraulic systems
    • HVAC and chilled water systems
    • Industrial automation equipment
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Proficient using electrical diagnostic equipment including multimeters, clamp meters, and other testing devices.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a maintenance team.
  • Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
