About the role
Technical Estimator, Knutsford, c£50K depending on experience + benefits & annual bonus.
Working with a well-established engineering manufacturer supplying precision components to global markets, who are looking to appoint a Technical Estimator at their site near Knutsford.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong engineering background who enjoys working closely with technical drawings, materials and manufacturing processes to produce accurate estimates for engineered components.
The Role
- Review and interpret technical drawings and specifications to prepare cost estimates
- Work from AutoCAD and SolidWorks drawings to understand component requirements
- Assess dimensions, tolerances and material specifications
- Evaluate metals and technical materials when building quotations
- Liaise closely with the machine shop and workshop teams to understand machining requirements and production processes
- Support the commercial team with technical input during the quotation process
About You
- Engineering background (an engineering degree would be advantageous)
- Strong understanding of technical components and manufacturing processes
- Comfortable reading and interpreting technical / CAD drawings
- Knowledge of metals, materials and machining processes
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
