Head of Mechanical Fire

Role: Head of Mechanical Fire
Location: Midlands
Salary: £80,000 to £90,000 per annum 

Are you an experienced Mechanical Fire specialist ready to lead at a national level? As Head of Mechanical Fire, you will take ownership of an established Mechanical Division, driving operational excellence, compliance and strategic growth across sprinkler systems, wet and dry risers, fire pumps and smoke ventilation. You will be working for a leading UK fire safety company delivering fully integrated, compliance-led fire protection solutions across retail, commercial, industrial and public sector clients.

Responsibilities:

Lead and grow the established Mechanical Fire Division, overseeing automatic sprinklers, risers, fire pumps and pressurisation systems
Manage end-to-end delivery of mechanical fire projects including installation, testing and maintenance
Drive new business opportunities and secure fire safety contracts nationwide
Collaborate with fire alarm, sprinkler and electrical teams to deliver seamless, integrated solutions
Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive fire risk management
Oversee tenders, estimating and strategic planning to expand mechanical fire services
Ensure full compliance with fire regulations, industry accreditations and safety standards

Experience and Certifications Required:

A minimum of 7 years’ experience in mechanical fire safety systems
Expert knowledge of sprinklers, fire pumps, wet and dry risers, HVAC smoke control or fire-rated mechanical systems
Proven experience leading teams and managing large-scale fire projects
Strong commercial awareness with experience winning and managing compliance contracts
Background as a Mechanical Contracts Manager or senior mechanical fire specialist
