Job Title: Fire Detection Design Engineer
Location: Sunderland
Rate: £400 per day
Hours: 50 hours per week
Are you an experienced Fire Detection Design Engineer looking for your next contract in Sunderland? As a Fire Detection Design Engineer, you will be responsible for producing high-quality fire alarm and detection system designs on a major utilities project at the Sunderland Gigafactory. You will be working for a specialist contractor delivering a long-term infrastructure project with an established design team.
Description of contract/programme of works:
Design fire alarm and detection systems in line with project requirements.
Produce detailed design drawings, layouts and technical documentation using AutoCAD.
Work independently and alongside the wider design team to deliver high-quality designs.
Ensure all designs meet relevant standards and project specifications.
Support a major utilities project with a long-term pipeline of work.
Experience required:
A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar Fire Detection Design Engineer role.
Proven experience designing fire alarm and detection systems.
Proficiency in AutoCAD.
Knowledge of British Standards, including BS 5839, is desirable.
Experience working on utilities or large-scale infrastructure projects is preferred.
Required documentation/certifications/tooling:
CSCS Card (preferred but not essential).
