Job Title: Fire Design Engineer (Part-Time)
Location: Remote
Rate: £360–£370 per day
Duration: 6-month contract

Are you an experienced Fire Design Engineer looking for a flexible remote contract? Technical Resources are recruiting for a Fire Design Engineer to provide design support for fire alarm system projects on a part-time basis, averaging three days per week. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced contractor looking for flexible, project-based work focused on bids, pricing and technical design support for a specialist fire safety business.

Description of contract/programme of works:

Design fire alarm systems in accordance with project requirements and relevant UK standards.
Support bids, pricing and technical submissions with accurate design input.
Produce clear design documentation and system layouts for internal project teams.
Liaise with bids, commercial and project teams to develop practical fire alarm solutions.
Review client requirements and translate them into compliant fire alarm designs.
Provide ad-hoc technical design support across a 6-month contract, with workload varying depending on project requirements.

Experience required:

Proven experience designing fire alarm systems.
Strong understanding of fire alarm design principles and relevant UK standards.
Experience supporting bids, pricing or pre-construction design work.
Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
Comfortable working on a flexible, part-time contract basis.
Suitable home working setup.

Required documentation/certifications/tooling:

Experience using Visio (highly desirable).
