About the role
Job Title: Fire & Security Project Manager
Location: Cumbria
Salary: From £65,000 per annum
Are you a Fire & Security Project Manager based in Cumbria? Looking for a role where you can take full ownership of projects from inception through to completion? As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering fire and security projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You will be working for a well-established fire and security specialist delivering projects across a range of environments.
Responsibilities:
● Develop and manage detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
● Coordinate RAMS, scheduling, and all project activities to meet objectives
● Monitor project progress and adjust plans to ensure successful delivery
● Lead and manage project teams, assigning tasks and ensuring efficient resource use
● Act as the main point of contact for clients, contractors, and senior management
● Provide regular project updates including risks, challenges, and progress reports
● Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and industry codes of practice
● Conduct site inspections, audits, and quality control checks
● Manage project budgets, track expenditure, and control costs
● Handle contract variations, documentation, and asset updates
● Identify and mitigate project risks, preparing contingency plans where required
● Oversee general operational tasks including engineer time audits, overtime checks, and stock coordination
Experience and Certifications required:
● A minimum of 5 years’ experience in project management
● Proven experience delivering projects from inception through to completion
● Strong knowledge of fire and security systems and industry standards
● Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills
● Experience managing budgets, resources, and project risk
● Full UK driving licence
● Security clearance (desirable but not essential)
● Competency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
