Financial Crime Analyst

Financial Crime Analyst – Liverpool City Centre- up to £37k + bonus and overtime – Hybrid Working

We’re recruiting for an experienced Financial Crime Analyst to join a well-established financial services organisation. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong AML and financial crime background who enjoys investigating complex cases and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate AML, fraud and financial crime referrals.
• Review suspicious activity and make appropriate recommendations.
• Manage SARs and liaise with the NCA and other law enforcement agencies where required.
• Review PEP and sanctions alerts and support ongoing monitoring of high-risk customers.
• Manage CIFAS, Hunter and fraud referrals.
• Produce reports and maintain accurate records.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure compliance with financial crime regulations and agreed SLAs.
• Keep up to date with regulatory changes and identify potential risks and process improvements.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience within a Financial Crime, AML or Compliance role.
• Strong knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering regulations and financial crime legislation.
• Experience investigating SARs and supporting MLROs.
• Experience working with PEPs, sanctions screening and fraud investigations.
• Knowledge of CIFAS, Hunter/SIRA (desirable).
• Excellent communication, organisation and analytical skills.
• Experience within financial services or asset/vehicle finance would be advantageous.
