Security Systems Engineer

• Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire & Essex
• £40,000 – £45,000 DOE + Overtime + Company Vehicle

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established, family-run security systems business that delivers high-quality projects and maintenance services across the commercial and public sectors.

Working across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Essex, you’ll be involved in the installation, service, maintenance and commissioning of a wide range of electronic security systems for clients including hospitals, universities, colleges, office environments and other commercial premises.

The Role

As a Security Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Installation, servicing and maintenance of CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarm and associated security systems
• Commissioning new systems and carrying out system testing
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective troubleshooting and repairs
• Producing accurate service reports and commissioning documentation
• Ensuring all work is completed in line with health and safety standards
• Providing a professional service and maintaining excellent customer relationships on site

Experience with some of the following would be beneficial:

• Hikvision
• Avigilon
• Gallagher
• Paxton
• Milestone
• Intruder Alarm systems
• CCTV systems
• Access Control systems

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience working on electronic security systems
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
• Experience in installation, service or commissioning environments
• ECS/CSCS card preferred
• Full UK driving licence
• DBS clearance (or ability to obtain clearance)
• Professional and customer-focused approach
