Are you looking for a Teaching Assistant job in Rotherham? We are recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to work in a range of welcoming primary schools across Rotherham from September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants, Classroom Assistants, Education Support Workers, or those with experience working with children who are looking for flexible or long-term work within education.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support pupils in the classroom on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
• Work alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging learning activities.
• Support pupils with their academic, social and emotional development.
• Help create a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment.
• Encourage positive behaviour and support pupil progress throughout the school day.

Requirements

To be considered for this Teaching Assistant role, you should have:

• Previous experience working with children in a school, childcare or educational setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A positive, patient and adaptable approach.
• A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
