Agency Pay: £17.88 per hour (effective 1 July 2026)
Full-Time Salary: £45,477 per annum (based on a 48-hour contract, effective 1 July 2026)
Job Type: Temp to Perm (12-week qualifying period)

The Opportunity

We are recruiting 7 HGV Class 2 (Category C) Drivers for immediate starts in Bicester. This role offers a clear pathway to a permanent position after a 12-week qualifying period with a well-established company delivering essential food products to restaurants and fast-food chains.

Shift Pattern

• 5 days from 7 on a rotating schedule
• Consistent shift pattern designed to support a better work/life balance
• Operating Monday to Sunday on a 4-week cycle
• 48-hour per week contract
• Start times between 00:30 and 06:00
• Average shifts up to 12 hours, depending on routes

Key Responsibilities

• Complete 3–8 deliveries per shift to restaurants and fast-food outlets
• Deliver a variety of goods, including:
• Fresh produce
• Frozen goods
• Meat
• Dairy
• Unload goods using a pump truck (handball required)
• Place deliveries into appropriate storage areas (frozen, chilled, and ambient)
• Ensure all deliveries are accurate and completed on time
• Manage site access, including keys and alarm systems, following training
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and comply with all driving regulations

Additional Information

• Some routes may include a driver’s mate (not guaranteed)
• Role involves physical, hands-on work
• Site interview and driving assessment (approximately 1 hour) required before starting

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Minimum 1 year Class 2 driving experience
• No more than 6 penalty points
• Good level of physical fitness
• Reliable, punctual, and professional
• Strong understanding of driving laws and safety regulations
