Class 1 Driver (Tramper)

Job Title: Class 1 Driver

Overview
We are currently seeking experienced and reliable Class 1 (HGV) Drivers for tramping work based in Banbury. This role involves Monday to Friday work with early morning start times . The successful candidate will demonstrate professionalism, strong time management, and a commitment to safe and efficient driving.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating a Class 1 (HGV) vehicle safely and efficiently
• Completing scheduled deliveries and collections as required
• Conducting daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
• Ensuring compliance with all driving hours, road transport, and health & safety regulations
• Maintaining accurate paperwork and delivery documentation
• Representing the company in a professional manner when interacting with customers and clients

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday
• Typical start times between 04:00 and 06:00
• Tramping required during the week

Pay & Benefits

• £16.25 – £23.87 per hour, depending on experience
• £25 per night out allowance
• Paid induction day required prior to commencing work

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) HGV licence
• Valid Driver CPC qualification
• Valid Digital Tachograph card
• Previous Class 1 & 2 driving experience required
• Good understanding of UK driving regulations and compliance
