About the role

Our client is an international law firm with offices in Asia and London. They are an award-winning practice featuring in the Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For and numerous other industry specific awards.

They have a flexible benefits package that includes 25 days holiday with ability to buy more, in-house doctor, good pension scheme, private medical insurance, subsidised gym membership and dental cover.  Their hybrid working policy is 2 days in the office.

Due to an internal promotion, they are seeking a talented and motivated Financial Accountant to join their high-performing finance team in a broad, hands-on role offering excellent exposure and long-term progression.

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant (ICAEW, ACCA or equivalent), including those who are newly qualified, to develop within a collaborative and supportive environment. The team particularly values candidates from a smaller accountancy practice with well-rounded experience, though applicants from the legal sector are also encouraged to apply.

The Role

  • Perform bank reconciliations and postings
  • Coordinate and review monthly P&L and balance sheet reconciliations

  • Support FP&A with budgeting and financial analysis
  • Deliver ad hoc reporting, analysis, and respond to information requests
  • Identify and implement improvements to processes, systems, and reporting
  • Contribute to finance projects and change initiatives

Skills & Experience

  • Qualified accountant with a strong background in both financial and management accounting
  • Experience within the legal sector is advantageous, though not essential
  • Exposure to group reporting and consolidation processes would be beneficial
  • Working knowledge of IFRS 16 lease accounting standards is desirable
  • Familiarity with multi-entity structures and foreign currency environments is preferred
  • Proficient in Excel, with at least an intermediate level of capability
  • Experience using practice management systems (such as Aderant) is an advantage
  • Knowledge of SQL would be a plus, but not a requirement
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Curious, proactive approach with a willingness to take initiative and ownership of tasks

Why Apply?

  • Excellent opportunity for career progression, with this role arising due to internal promotions
  • Broad, hands-on exposure across finance
