Warehouse Packing Operatives

Our client is the world’s largest independent height safety brand, and they are offer the exciting opportunity to join their team working at their Isle of Sheppey site.

They are seeking reliable and hardworking Warehouse & Packing Operatives to join their team working on a temporary to permanent basis.

The role involves handling goods, preparing orders, and ensuring products are packed accurately and safely for dispatch.

The hours of work are 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday, and there will be the opportunity to work overtime.

The hourly pay rate will be £12.71, and the equivalent permanent salary will be £29,741 plus overtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Receiving, unloading, and storing incoming deliveries
• Picking and packing orders according to company standards
• Labelling and preparing items for shipment
• Checking products for quality and accuracy before dispatch
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment
• Assisting with stock control and inventory checks
• Operating warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet trucks) where required
• Following health and safety procedures at all times

Skills and Requirements

• Good attention to detail
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills
• Physical fitness (ability to lift heavy loads and move items)
• Previous warehouse or packing experience (preferred but not essential)
• The successful applicants will need to be able to drive, but not necessary to have their own car, as they may need to use a works van to travel to another local warehouse.
• Applicants will have Counterbalance forklift experience and licence or proof of previous experience.
