An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Support Assistant to join the Private Client department of a well-established and highly respected regional law firm.

This role would suit an organised and proactive legal support professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in delivering exceptional administrative support and is looking to build a long-term career within a supportive legal team.

The Role

Working closely with experienced solicitors and fee earners, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the Private Client department, ensuring clients receive a professional and efficient service while providing high-quality administrative support across a range of matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing comprehensive administrative support to the Private Client team.
  • Preparing, formatting and amending legal documents and correspondence.
  • Managing diaries, appointments and meeting schedules.
  • Opening new client files and maintaining accurate records using the firm’s case management system.
  • Handling incoming telephone calls and emails professionally.
  • Liaising with clients, third parties and internal departments.
  • Preparing client documentation and meeting packs.
  • Assisting with billing, file management and general office administration.
  • Ensuring documents are accurately filed and compliant with firm procedures.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • At least six months’ experience working as a Legal Support Assistant, Legal Secretary or Legal Assistant.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • The ability to prioritise a busy workload and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • A professional, friendly and client-focused approach.

Desirable experience includes:

  • Previous experience within a Private Client department.
  • Familiarity with legal case management systems.
