About the role:
EdStaff are supporting a secondary school in the South Warrington area with their recruitment of an enthusiastic and committed Cover Supervisor for a full-time position covering the Autumn term. The school pride themselves on providing a supportive and nurturing environment for their pupils and they are seeking a candidate who will match this approach.

As a cover supervisor you will be responsible for supervising classes when teachers are absent, ensuring continuity of learning and maintaining a positive classroom environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Supervise classes across all key stages (KS3 and 4) in the absence of subject teachers
- Supervise the completion of pre-planned lesson materials and ensure students remain on task
- Promote positive behaviour
- Support students with their learning
- Take accurate registers and report concerns to relevant staff
- Assist with general school duties as required
- Adhere to school policies and procedure
Person specification:
- Confident classroom presence
- Flexible and adaptable
- Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to engage students aged 11-16
- Able to efficiently build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues
Essential requirements:
- Right to work in the UK
- Degree or equivalent qualification
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one
- References to cover the last 2-year period
