About the role
Job title: SEN Teacher
First for Education are seeking an experienced and committed SEN Teacher to join a school in Worcestershire, supporting pupils with additional needs to access learning and achieve their potential.
The role is at a Special Needs School for pupils aged 8 – 19 with an EHCP. Located just outside Worcester between Great Malvern and Worcester in a rural setting the school are looking to appoint a qualified Teacher to join them for a full time ‘general teacher’ role for the new academic year.
The role is full time and would be offered on an initial contract basis with the possibility of a permanent post after the initial contract.
The school offers a flexible curriculum built to suit the needs of individual pupils that attend the school. They have extensive grounds and offer a learning experience that encourages outdoor activities and learning as well as classroom based learning.

SEN Teacher role requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching pupils with SEND
• Strong understanding of differentiation and inclusive teaching strategies
• Experience supporting needs such as ASD, SEMH, MLD or complex needs
• Ability to plan and deliver personalised learning
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply
The successful SEN Teacher will:
- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons to meet individual needs
• Support pupils with a range of additional learning and behavioural needs
• Monitor, assess and track pupil progress
• Work closely with the SENCO and wider support team
• Create a positive, structured and inclusive learning environment
• Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development
