Job Title: Fire & Security Design Engineer
Location: South East & London
Salary: From £50,000 To £55,000 per annum

Are you a Fire & Security Design Engineer based in the South East or London? Looking for a role where you can take full ownership of system design from concept through to delivery? As a Fire & Security Design Engineer, you will be responsible for producing compliant, commercially viable, and technically robust designs across CCTV, access control, intruder alarms, and fire systems. You will be working for a growing organisation specialising in Fire & Security solutions across large-scale projects.

Responsibilities:

● Design IP-based CCTV, access control, and intruder alarm systems
● Produce schematics, equipment schedules, and cause & effect matrices
● Attend site surveys and translate client requirements into technical designs
● Support pre-sales, tender submissions, and costing activities
● Ensure designs are commercially viable and aligned with project budgets
● Provide full design handover to delivery and operations teams
● Support engineers and project teams with technical queries
● Ensure compliance with relevant British Standards and support NSI audits
● Maintain high-quality technical documentation throughout project lifecycle

Experience and Certifications required:

● A minimum of [Years of Experience] in a similar Fire & Security design role
● Strong knowledge of CCTV, access control, intruder alarms, and fire systems
● Experience producing technical drawings and system schematics
● Strong commercial awareness with the ability to support costing and tenders
● Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with clients and internal teams
● Desirable: AutoCAD experience, manufacturer certifications, and networking knowledge
