Location: Hertfordshire
Salary: £42,000 to £65,000 per annum

Are you an experienced Fire Alarm Service Manager based in Hertfordshire, looking to step into a senior leadership role with real responsibility and progression? Technical Resources is recruiting for a Fire Alarm Service Manager to lead a busy Fire Service Department within a well-established fire and security solutions business.

You’ll be responsible for overseeing the delivery of fire alarm servicing and maintenance, managing engineers, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring full compliance with current British Standards.

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a team of Fire Service Engineers and office support staff
Plan and schedule fire alarm servicing and preventative maintenance works
Review service reports, organise return visits, quotations, and remedial actions
Manage customer enquiries, emergency callouts, and post-activation follow-ups
Prepare quotations for fire extinguishers, system installations, and small works
Manage engineer rotas, holidays, attendance, and out-of-hours escalation
Oversee pricing, invoicing, and commercial performance of service contracts
Ensure all works comply with current British Standards and company procedures
Provide technical and on-site support to engineers when required

Experience and Certifications Required:

Proven experience as a Fire Service Manager, Supervisor, or Senior Fire Engineer
Strong technical knowledge of fire alarm systems, extinguishers, and life safety equipment
Excellent organisational, leadership, and people management skills
Confident communicator with experience managing customers and internal teams
Commercial awareness with experience in producing quotations or managing budgets
Full UK driving licence
