Job Title: Embedded Technical Engineer
Location: London
Salary: From £75,000 to £80,000 per annum

Are you an Embedded Technical Engineer based in or around London, looking to work on complex global security systems? As an Embedded Technical Engineer, you will be responsible for analysing security system data, improving alarm performance, and delivering data-led insights across a global estate. You will be working for an award-winning security and risk consultancy delivering innovative solutions within the security technology sector.

Responsibilities:

● Analyse large volumes of security system data to identify trends, recurring faults, and optimisation opportunities
● Use SQL and similar tools to extract, clean, and interrogate alarm event data
● Develop strategies to reduce false and nuisance alarms across multiple sites
● Recommend system configuration improvements, including thresholds, sensitivities, and escalation paths
● Build dashboards and reporting tools using Power BI and Excel
● Present technical findings and recommendations to stakeholders across global and regional teams
● Support workshops, training sessions, and best practice adoption across the business
● Continuously monitor system performance and proactively identify emerging risks

Experience and Certifications required:

● A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar technical engineering or data-focused role
● Strong SQL or equivalent data querying experience
● Experience working with large datasets across multiple systems
● Advanced Power BI skills with strong Excel capability
● Solid understanding of electronic security systems, including alarms, sensors, and access control
● Experience with AMAG systems is highly desirable
● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
● Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
