About the role
Job Title: Contracts Manager – EICR
Location: Hertfordshire
Salary: From £55,000 per annum + Car
Are you looking for a Contracts Manager – EICR position working in Hertfordshire? As a Contracts Manager, you will take ownership of a portfolio of EICR contracts across domestic and communal testing works, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You will be working for an established electrical compliance contractor delivering testing and compliance services across the Southeast.
Responsibilities:
● Manage EICR contracts from mobilisation through to completion
● Review contract documentation, identify risks, and implement action plans
● Monitor contract cost, value, and margin performance
● Prepare applications, valuations, variations, and final accounts
● Manage direct labour, subcontractors, and agency staff
● Track programme progress, KPIs, and project deadlines
● Carry out inspections, snagging, and pre-handover checks
● Ensure compliance with regulations, British Standards, NICEIC requirements, and company procedures
● Support tendering and quotation activities where required
● Maintain accurate project records and reporting
● Promote high standards of health, safety, and quality across all projects
Experience and Certifications required:
● A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar Contracts Manager role
● Experience managing Electrical EICR and Part 6 Fire compliance contracts
● Strong commercial awareness with experience controlling margins and contract performance
● Experience managing direct labour and subcontractors
● Understanding of valuations, variations, and applications for payment
● Good technical knowledge of compliance and health and safety requirements
● Strong communication, organisation, and planning skills
● Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and MS Project
● Level 3 Electrical Qualification
● AM2 Qualification
● 18th Edition Qualification
● 2391 Inspection and Testing Qualification or equivalent
