About the role

Commissioning Engineer (Integrated Security)
Location: Hinkley Point (site-based)
Contract Type: 6-month rolling contract (3-year project scope)
Start Date: ASAP
Rates:

Day Shift: ~£438 per day
Nights: ~£570 per night

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer with a strong background in integrated security systems to support a major project at Hinkley Point. This is a long-term opportunity offering a rolling contract with consistent work over a multi-year programme.

Key Responsibilities:

Commissioning, fault finding, and remedial works on integrated security systems
Programming and configuration of access control and CCTV platforms
Diagnosing system faults across integrated environments
Working closely with technical teams during initial onboarding and training
Supporting both planned and reactive maintenance activities

Systems & Experience Required:

Strong experience with integrated access control systems (C-Cure preferred)
Experience with at least one of the following: Lenel, Genetec, Gallagher, Milestone
Knowledge of Avigilon CCTV systems
Understanding of fibre systems (desirable)
Solid networking and diagnostic skills
Proven ability in fault finding and system integration

Working Pattern:

Initial 6 weeks: Day shifts (08:00 – 16:30) for training
Post-training: Mixture of evening and night shifts, including:

16:30 – 00:30
00:00 – 08:00
20:00 – 04:00
18:00 – 02:00


Typically, 4 shifts per week (weekday initially, potential move to weekends)

Logistics & Benefits:

Park and ride transport provided (approx. 15 minutes to site)
Mileage allowance available for travel over 150 miles
Accommodation support available (negotiable)

Requirements:

Valid ECS Card
BPSS Vetting (assistance provided if required)
Right to Work in the UK
