Commercial Sprinkler Design Engineer
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Sprinkler Design Engineer to join a leading fire protection contractor, focusing on commercial and residential sprinkler projects. The successful candidate will work on full project lifecycle design, ensuring compliance with LPCB/British Standards and delivering accurate hydraulic calculations.
Key Responsibilities
Produce detailed sprinkler system designs for commercial and residential projects
Carry out hydraulic calculations, pipe sizing, and water supply analysis
Prepare layout drawings, schematics, and design documentation using AutoCAD/Revit
Ensure compliance with LPCB and BS EN12845 standards
Liaise with clients, contractors, and project managers to ensure smooth project delivery
Provide technical support across design, installation, and commissioning stages
Maintain accurate project records and update design changes as required
Skills & Experience
Proven experience in sprinkler system design
Strong knowledge of LPCB standards and relevant British Standards (BS EN12845, BS9251)
Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit experience highly desirable)
Excellent communication skills and client-facing ability
LPCB Basic/Intermediate/Design Certificates highly advantageous
