Factory Operative

Our client, who are situated in Yeadon / Rawdon (LS19), has an urgent requirement for Temporary Warehouse Operative / Shop Floor Labourer.

A Factory Operative is responsible for carrying out a range of production and manufacturing tasks to ensure products are produced efficiently, safely, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble, package, and label products according to company procedures.
• Inspect products for quality and report any defects or issues.
• Follow production schedules and meet daily output targets.
• Load and unload materials and move stock within the factory.
• Keep work areas clean, organised, and free from hazards.
• Comply with all health and safety regulations, company policies, and operating procedures.
• Work effectively as part of a team and communicate with supervisors and colleagues.
• Assist with stock control, inventory checks, and other general warehouse or production duties as required.

Skills and Requirements:

• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to follow instructions and work to set procedures.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Physical fitness to stand for long periods and lift materials where required.
• Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
• Previous factory or manufacturing experience is beneficial but not always essential, as training is often provided

Suitable candidates will have previously worked in a factory.

Previous experience in paint and powder coating will be beneficial.

The role is temporary (couple of months).

Monday to Thursday 6am-4pm.
