About the role
Consultant Gastroenterologist – Weekend waiting lists
SpecialistMed’s General Medicine Division is working closely with a number of Trusts, via a private insourcing company, throughout the country in assisting the ever-growing backlogs in Endoscopy.
Most endoscopy procedures were suspended following the British Society of Gastroenterology (BSG) guidance at the end of March advising hospitals to suspend all non-emergency activity. Therefore, endoscopy waiting lists have increased throughout the pandemic.
Positions will typically consist of 4 sessions per weekend and roughly 12 points per session depending on patient numbers and Trusts patient pathway.
- Weekend Endoscopy clinics, 12 points a session
- Candidates would ideally be Specialist Registered
- Candidates must be JAG accredited
- Competitive Sessional rates
- Accommodation and travel costs are covered
