Social Worker – Full/Part Time

We urgently need Social  workers for immediate start in our Kent, Surrey and Inner and outer London areas of our operation.

Job Description:

We are looking for motivated Social Workers to work in different setting such as  with government establishments, hospitals or other healthcare setting.

You will assist the service users of these establishments with a variety of duties, and in doing so you will observe and respect the service user’s dignity, privacy and independence as far as is practical.

Your main duties and responsibilities will include:

• To provide personal and practical care services for people with a wide range of illnesses and disabilities.

• To help service users with mobility problems and other physical disabilities, including incontinence and help in use- and care of aids and personal equipment.

• To support Adults, young people and their families fulfil their Health Wellbeing potentials
• To help in the promotion of mental and physical activity of service users through talking to them, taking them out, sharing with them in activities such as reading, writing, hobbies, and recreation.
• To read and write in log-book records and take part in staff and service users’ meetings and in training activities as directed.
• Manage risk in line with personalised approach and escalating concern to the appropriate officer in charge.
• Ability to work with family to facilitate contingency plan for anticipated complex or changing situation.
• Identify any safeguarding concern.

Qualification Required:

Degree in Social Work (Dip HE/Degree or Post Grad) and registration as a social worker with the Health Care Professional’s
Council
ASYE must be completed if more than 2 years post qualified

Knowledge Required:

Working knowledge of child development and demonstrate an ability to underpin practice with a theoretical base, including
attachment theory and the needs of Looked After
Children/Children in Need/children in the Child Protection system
Working knowledge of legislation, policies, frameworks and regulations.
Working knowledge of County procedures relating to Looked
After Children/Children in Need/Child Protection
Knowledge of family court proceedings
Knowledge of factors relating to adults including mental health, domestic violence, substance misuse

 Salary: £25.00-£35.00 per hour
