Business Rates Referencer

An exceptional opportunity has become available for an experienced Business Rates Referencer in Liverpool. As an experienced Business Rates Referencer, your role will include,

• Property Inspection: Visiting commercial properties to assess their physical characteristics and dimensions.
• Measurement and Data Collection: Accurately record property dimensions and gathering other relevant data.
• Record Keeping: Maintaining detailed and accurate records of property measurements and other information.
• Liaison with VOA: Interacting with the Valuation Office Agency, to ensure consistency and accuracy in assessments.
• Supporting Appeals: Assisting in the preparation of documentation and providing support for business rates appeals.
• Understanding Legislation: Keeping up-to-date with relevant business rates legislation and case law.

As the successful Business Rates Referencer you will have

• Attention to Detail: Accuracy in property measurements and data recording.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret data, legislation, and case law.
• Communication Skills: Effective communication with clients, colleagues, and the VOA.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues related to business rates assessments.
• Experience in Business Rates: Experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of Rating Legislation: Understanding of relevant laws and regulations.
