Engineering Tutor / Assessor – Engineering Maintenance

We’re working in partnership with a well-established and highly regarded training provider to recruit an Engineering Tutor / Assessor. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to step into education, or an existing trainer/assessor seeking a new challenge with flexibility and autonomy.

The Role

This is a hybrid, field-based position where you’ll support and assess learners in real workplace environments. You’ll play a key role in developing the next generation of engineers through hands-on coaching and assessment.

Deliver and assess Engineering Maintenance programmes
Conduct workplace visits, observations, and progress reviews
Provide coaching and support to apprentices on-site
Manage your own diary with flexible, self-directed working
Cover a regional patch from Cheshire through to Yorkshire

What We’re Looking For

Level 4 qualification (or above) in Engineering
Industry experience in engineering maintenance
Previous teaching, training, or assessing experience (desirable, not essential)
Assessor qualification (advantageous but can be supported)
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel

What’s on Offer

Salary: £35,975 – £38,985 (depending on experience & qualifications)
Car Allowance: £3,000+
37 hours per week with flexible working arrangements
