Manual Lathe Turner

Location: Bromborough

Pay Rate: £17.50 – £18.00 per hour

Hours: Monday to Thursday – 08:00am to 16:30pm
Friday – 08:00am to 14:30pm

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Manual Lathe Turner to join a well-established engineering company based in Bromborough.

The Role:

• Operating traditional manual lathes
• Manufacturing one-off and small batch precision components
• Working from detailed engineering drawings
• Producing components to tight tolerances
• Using measuring equipment to inspect finished components
• Maintaining high quality standards throughout production
• Working safely and efficiently within the machine shop
• Supporting the wider production team to meet customer deadlines

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Manual Lathe Turner
• Ability to work independently on traditional/manual lathes
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Experience working to tight tolerances
• Good understanding of precision engineering
• Experience using manual machines such as Dean, Smith & Grace, Colchester Mastiff or Ajax lathes would be advantageous
• Positive attitude with excellent attention to detail
