Automatic Door Engineer – Swindon / Reading Area 

Salary: Up to £44,460 basic per year
Benefits: Door-to-door pay | Overtime & On-call | Company van (personal use) | 28 days holiday

We’re working with a rapidly growing, close-knit business in the automatic and industrial door industry. Due to continued success and increased workload, they’re looking for an Automatic Door Engineer to join their friendly team, covering the Swindon, Reading, and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, fault find, and repair automatic doors (majority of the role)
• Occasional installations
• Work with commercial and retail clients across the Swindon–Reading region
• Jobs are usually kept within approximately two hours of your home postcode
• Ensure all work meets EN16005 compliance standards
• Deliver excellent customer service and represent the company professionally

Requirements

• EN16005 compliant (essential)
• Experience with automatic doors
• Knowledge of industrial doors, gates, or barriers desirable but not essential
• Full UK driving licence
• Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn — open to engineers with less experience if they have the right mindset

What’s on Offer

• Up to £44,460 basic salary
• Door-to-door pay
• Overtime: Time and a half (05:00–07:30 / 17:30–00:00), double time thereafter
• On-call rota: 1 in 6, £175 standby fee, call-outs paid at 1.5x
