As a Shunter Driver, you’ll be responsible for safely moving trailers/vehicles around our yard, loading bays, and designated areas to support logistics and production flow. As a Shunter Driver, you’ll be responsible for safely moving trailers/vehicles around our yard, loading bays, and designated areas to support logistics and production flow. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in precision and care.
✅ What You'll Do:
- Move trailers and vehicles between bays, parking areas, and loading zones
- Perform vehicle checks and ensure all movements comply with safety standards
- Communicate with warehouse and transport teams to support loading/unloading schedules
- Keep accurate records of movements and report any faults or issues
- Valid UK driving licence (HGV Class 1 preferred but not essential)
- Previous experience as a shunter or similar role in logistics or yard operations
- Strong awareness of health & safety procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility for shift work (including nights/weekends if applicable)
- Competitive hourly rate + shift allowance (if applicable)
