My client is seeking a skilled and reliable HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver to join their team. If you have a strong work ethic, excellent customer service skills, and a passion for professional driving, this could be the ideal opportunity for you.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate an HGV Class 1 vehicle in full compliance with traffic laws and company regulations
- Transport goods and materials efficiently and securely to various destinations
- Plan routes and ensure timely deliveries while considering traffic, weather, and load requirements
- Complete thorough pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
- Deliver excellent customer service, handling any queries in a professional and courteous manner
- Valid HGV Class 1 licence
- Up-to-date CPC
- Previous HGV driving experience (preferably in a similar role)
- Clean driving record with no serious convictions or accidents
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and traffic laws
- Excellent attention to detail and time management
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to undertake up to 5 nights out in the vehicle when required
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday (with occasional weekend work)
- In person (Hemel Hempstead – must be able to commute reliably or relocate before starting)
- HGV Class 1 Driving: 1 year
- Driver CPC (required/preferred depending on experience)
- Full UK Driving Licence
