Are you an experienced Control & Instrumentation Technician with compex 01-04 ready to advance your career? Our client is seeking a talented professional to maintain, enhance, and troubleshoot control and instrumentation systems in a supportive, innovative environment.
Role Overview
As a Control & Instrumentation Technician, you will install, maintain, and troubleshoot state-of-the-art control and instrumentation systems while ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- System Maintenance & Upgrades: Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and enhancements on control and instrumentation systems.
- Preventative Measures: Conduct functional tests, equipment inspections, and preventive maintenance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to resolve issues efficiently.
- System Integration: Support installation, commissioning, and modifications.
- Technical Expertise: Interpret technical drawings and documentation during projects.
- Safety & Compliance: Follow strict health, safety, and environmental protocols.
- Mentorship: Train junior team members and encourage knowledge sharing.
A Typical Day
- Conduct planned maintenance to ensure seamless operations.
- Diagnose and solve system issues using advanced tools and techniques.
- Improve processes through team collaboration and innovation.
- Provide detailed reports on tasks completed and issues resolved.
- Promote a safe and secure working environment.
- Mentor and support junior staff to build team expertise.
What You Bring
- Expertise in Electrical, Controls & Instrumentation (EC&I) systems.
- Compex 01-04
- Hands-on experience with PLC/DCS/SCADA systems.
- Knowledge of instrumentation, control loops, process control, and fieldbus protocols (HART, Modbus, Profibus, etc.).
- Familiarity with safety standards (ATEX, HAZOP, SIL) and compliance.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and collaboration skills.
- Relevant qualifications in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent experience.

Salary
- Base salary of £48k-£52k (Expected OTE upto £60k)
