About this role

As a Young Adult Carer Support Worker your responsibilities would include:

  • Completing assessments for young adult carers and improving resilience and wellbeing including access to education, employment and training opportunities.
  • Provide high quality information and support either one to one or group based, building partnerships with educational settings and local organisations to ensure young adult carers can achieve their potential.

About you

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Experience of working with young people (ideally vulnerable groups or carers) either in one-to-one or group setting and demonstrate an understanding of young adult carers and their issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The location for the position is flexible, but candidates must be willing to work from community venues and have flexibility to work outside of normal working hours to meet the needs of young carers in Medway.
