Senior Support Worker for Children Home in Stourport on Severn Worcestershire DY13 We are currently recruiting  Senior Residential Support Workers  to join our settled 3 bed home in Stourport on Severn. Our home currently supports x 2 children with EBD and challenging behaviours with a 3rd joining us in the not too distant future. The team will offer huge support and you will be encouraged to develop and progress.

Senior Support Worker Duties include
• Supporting and managing the staff team to meet the needs of the young person
• Planning each shift and ensuring resources are allocated appropriately
• Working with external professionals to deliver positive outcomes
• Providing supervision and support to staff in line with Quality Standards
• Supporting the young person to engage in education
• Ensuring their health needs are met
• Providing advice, support and guidance
• Managing complex behaviours and crisis intervention
• Administering and recording medication
• Maintaining daily records and administrative work
• Contributing to the care planning process
• Liaising with external stakeholders and our multidisciplinary team
• Attending mandatory training
• Engaging in team meetings
• Maintaining the home (laundry, cleaning, shopping, cooking, etc.)
Senior Support Worker RequirementsPlease note applicants MUST meet the following requirements;

• Able to work Full time
• A full UK driving license ( preferred )
• Right to work in the UK (we do not offer sponsorship)
• An understanding that this role will require that you undertake Enhanced DBS checks
• You need to be able to work flexibly in caring for the children. This will include working shifts and sleep-ins with full-time and part-time hours being available.
• Experience working and supporting 5-18 year old with EBD & challenging behaviour
• You will have some experience supporting children or young people with EBD.
• Seniors MUST have NVQ level 3 Children Residential plus 2 years Support Work experience(Children’s)

 Salary and shifts and more for our Seniors Support Workers 

• £14.35 per hour to  £15.35 per hour  depending on experience and qualifications
• plus £55 sleeps shift pattern normally 2 on 4 off but subject to change
• 169 hours per month  flexibility will be required
• Full induction and introductory programme
• Fully funded training and qualifications
• Enhanced pay scales that recognise both qualifications and experience
• Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check paid for by us
• 28 days annual leave including bank holidays
• Hourly rate increase for bank holiday working
• £50 per sleep in payments
