Residential Support Workers and Seniors Children’s Home in High Wycombe Buckinghamshire HP11   We are looking for Support Worker and Senior Support Workers our 3 Bed home supporting 8-18s with EBD SEMH and challenging behaviour. Your next exciting challenge awaits   Senior Support Worker salary  Senior Support Workers £15.50 per hour + £70 per sleep (must be qualified and a driver) You will be expected to sleep in after some of your shifts Support Worker Salary    £14 per hour inexperience £14.50 per  hour experienced £15 per hour qualified   Sleeps £70 Support Worker and Senior Shift patterns Usually 1 on 2 off 8am-8pm 8pm-8am Senior Support Worker Duties include • Supporting and managing the staff team to meet the needs of the young person
• Planning each shift and ensuring resources are allocated appropriately
• Working with external professionals to deliver positive outcomes
• Providing supervision and support to staff in line with Quality Standards
• Supporting the young person to engage in education
• Ensuring their health needs are met
• Providing advice, support and guidance
• Managing complex behaviours and crisis intervention
• Administering and recording medication
• Maintaining daily records and administrative work
• Contributing to the care planning process
• Liaising with external stakeholders and our multidisciplinary team
• Attending mandatory training
• Engaging in team meetings
• Maintaining the home (laundry, cleaning, shopping, cooking, etc.)
Senior Support Worker Requirements

Please note applicants MUST meet the following requirements;

• Able to work Full time
• A full UK driving license ( preferred )
• Right to work in the UK (we do not offer sponsorship)
• An understanding that this role will require that you undertake Enhanced DBS checks
• You need to be able to work flexibly in caring for the children. This will include working shifts and sleep-ins with full-time and part-time hours being available.
• Experience working and supporting 6-18 year old with EBD, challenging behaviour and complex care.
• You will have some experience supporting children or young people with EBD.
• Seniors MUST have NVQ level 3 Children Residential plus 2 years Support Work experience(Children’s)

 Support Worker requirements

• Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification is desirable; however training will be available.
• Experience of supporting vulnerable young people within a residential care environment, or similar youth worker experience.
• You will be compassionate, resilient, committed to being a positive role model and confident in managing challenging behaviours.
• Flexible and able to work a residential care rota which includes evening, weekends and holiday periods and sleep ins.
• Have supported  children with EBD and complex needs
• Hold a valid UK driving licence.(essential)
