Property Surveyor

This position takes more of a co-ordination approach on a day-to-day basis rather than you individually undertaking the work itself, but a background in building/property surveying will ensure that you have the knowledge of what work will need to be completed. As a property officer within the organisation, your role will centre around the following,

• Overseeing the properties in your portfolio,
• Ensuring they are maintained appropriately, with relevant inspections undertaken and the required certificates issued.
• You will liaise with various tenants and be on hand to offer advice and guidance relating to any issues that arise with the property.
• There may also be occasions as property officer when you will become involved in the acquisition or disposal of property, helping identify new property, liaising with solicitors, and being on hand through the process if needed.

This role is a home-based position, with occasional meetings in the head office in Manchester. The role does involve regular travel throughput your North West portfolio (mainly Lancashire and Greater Manchester, but also covering Cumbria and Cheshire) so you will need a driving licence and access to a car (travel expenses paid). In terms of this travel, you control your own diary with the role offering true autonomy and allowing you to just “get on with your job” without the constant reporting/micromanagement that can sometimes be felt elsewhere. Salary is c£40,000 plus benefits.
