A local authority is looking for a Policy, Strategy and Partnerships Officer to support delivery of corporate policy, strategic partnerships and improvement activity.
You will work closely with senior leadership, Cabinet Members and external partners to help shape policy, drive strategic initiatives and support the organisation’s corporate improvement programme.
Key responsibilities:
Support development of corporate policies, strategies and plansProvide policy and project support to senior leadership and CabinetDraft high quality briefing papers, reports and presentationsSupport and coordinate strategic partnerships linked to community prioritiesBuild strong relationships across the organisation and with external partnersIdentify improvements and support organisational and cultural change
What they need:
Experience in policy, strategy or partnerships within local government or public sectorExperience working with senior stakeholders and elected membersStrong report writing and briefing experienceExperience supporting or delivering projects or programmesGood understanding of local government priorities and partnership working
Key skills:
Strong communication and stakeholder managementAnalytical and problem solving abilityAble to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesConfident presenting complex information clearly
