Registered Manager – Children’s Residential (EBD)

Location: Redditch

Salary: £52,000 – £65,000 per annum

Bonus: Annual occupancy bonus of up to £10,000 (linked to Ofsted Good or above)

About the Role

Joneshouse Recruitment is seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead a well-established 4-bed Children’s Residential Home supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

The home is currently rated Good by Ofsted and is performing at a level close to Outstanding, with no requirements or recommendations following its latest inspection. It provides a stable environment where all four young people currently living in the home attend full-time education.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operation of a 4-bed EBD children’s home.
• Ensure the home remains fully compliant with Ofsted regulations and Quality Standards.
• Provide strong leadership, guidance and support to the staff team.
• Promote a therapeutic, child-centred approach to care.
• Monitor safeguarding, care planning and risk management.
• Drive continuous improvement with the aim of achieving an Outstanding Ofsted rating.
• Build positive relationships with young people, families and professionals.
• Support staff development through supervision, mentoring and performance management.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Current Registered Manager experience within an EBD children’s home.
• A strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and Children’s Homes Quality Standards.
• Ideally a recent Good or Outstanding Ofsted inspection history.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills.
• Passion for achieving the best outcomes for children and young people.

Strong Deputy Managers with significant leadership and administrative experience who are ready to step into a Registered Manager position will also be considered.
