Salary: £31,000 – £33,000 per annum (depending on experience) + £1,000 probation bonus

Joneshouse Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a well-established nursery in Mortlake, Richmond. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Nursery Room Leader looking to join a supportive team within a welcoming childcare setting.

The Role

As a Nursery Room Leader, you will be responsible for creating a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment where children can learn and develop. You will lead your room with confidence, support colleagues, and ensure high standards of care and education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day running of your nursery room.
• Deliver high-quality care and learning experiences for children.
• Support children’s learning and development in line with the EYFS framework.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
• Monitor children’s progress and maintain accurate records.
• Support and mentor other team members within the room.
• Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies are always followed.
• Contribute to creating a positive and inclusive nursery environment.

What We’re Looking For

Essential

• Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
• Experience working within a nursery or early years setting.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Passion for supporting children’s development.
• A caring, enthusiastic and professional approach.

Desirable

• Previous Room Leader or Senior Practitioner experience.
• Experience supporting Ofsted inspections.
