Salary: £12.90 per hour (£26,832 per annum) + Sleep-in payments (up to £7,200 per annum)

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

Shift Pattern: 8:00am – 11:00pm | 1 Day On, 2 Days Off

Joneshouse Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a residential childcare provider for a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join their team in Humberstone.

The Role

As a Support Worker, you will play a key role in providing day-to-day care and support to children and young people, helping them develop confidence, independence and positive life skills.

You will work closely with the wider team to deliver high-quality care, maintain accurate records, and ensure the home provides a safe, stable and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people.
• Build positive relationships and act as a positive role model.
• Complete daily records, reports and care documentation.
• Support the implementation of care plans and risk assessments.
• Attend regular supervision, team meetings and training sessions.
• Complete mandatory online and face-to-face training.
• Work towards a Level 4 qualification in Residential Childcare (where applicable).
• Support senior staff with the smooth running of the home.
• Promote safeguarding and the wellbeing of all children and young people.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.

What We’re Looking For

Essential

• Level 3 or Level 4 qualification in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
• Previous experience working within children’s residential care.
• Good understanding of safeguarding and child-centred practice.
• Knowledge of Ofsted standards and residential childcare regulations.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
