Part Time Nanny, based in Brighton, East Sussex R1405 *POSITION FILLED*

This busy family are looking for a 2 day a week nanny to cover their current nanny’s Maternity leave, this will be for between 9 to 12 months. Caring for girls aged 6 and 3 years old. A sole charge role that requires a reliable and trustworthy nanny as the parents are medics.

During the school holidays the parents are very happy for the nanny to take the children out on activities and support this fully.

Duties

School drop offs and pickups

Prep and cook a meal for the children and tidy up afterwards.

Start the bath and bedtime routine

The main duties are spending time with the girls and enjoying their company so no additional nursery duties.

Start Date

Between mid June to mid July 2026

Hours and days

Mondays and Wednesday

6.30 to 9am and again from 3.30pm to 7.30pm

School holidays will be 6.30am to 7.30pm and around 8 hours on a Tuesday (to be mutually agreed)

*** The family would be happy to add additional hours for the candidate to do housekeeping duties while the girls are in school. This is only offered if additional hours are needed by the nanny***

Salary

£18 – £20 per hour gross – this is negotiable for the right candidate

Additional Information

Pet friendly as there is a cat in the family home

Sole charge

Driver required – using own car and work mileage paid at 0.45p per mile.

Reliability is essential due to the parents being doctors.

Temporary role to cover Maternity Leave

As with all Mums the Word placements our candidates should have a minimum of 2 years experience working with children, an Enhanced DBS, paediatric first aid certificates and at least 2 contactable references.
